On February 28, 2024, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleh Nemchynov introduced the new head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), Viktor Pavlushchyk, to the staff of the National Agency. The day before, the Government had approved his candidacy, which had been previously selected by all six members of the selection committee.
In his first speech to the NACP staff, the new head outlined the priorities for the next four years and emphasized the need for effective teamwork aimed at defeating the aggressor and overcoming corruption as a prerequisite for integration with the European community.
"A new four-year journey is beginning for all of us. I expect every head of department and employee of the National Agency to be dedicated to the implementation of the tasks for which the NACP was created. Only maximum joint efforts in all areas will give the desired result - building a fair, strong, value-based state of free people. In the current geopolitical security environment, we cannot work half-heartedly. After all, the ideals for which we fight, defending our land from the occupiers and building integrity in the public sphere, have no alternatives. The NACP is and will remain an independent body. We must be a united strong team to achieve a quality result," said NACP Head Viktor Pavlushchyk.
Introducing the new head of the NACP, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov stated that the Government supports the strengthening of the entire anti-corruption infrastructure and the effectiveness of the National Agency in particular.
"A transparent competition lasted for several months, which resulted in the selection of the most worthy winner for the position of the NACP Head. According to the well-founded decision of the Commission, Viktor Pavlushchyk has the best professional experience, knowledge and qualities to perform the duties of the head, as well as meets the criteria of competence and integrity. The government, for its part, will be a reliable partner of the NACP in preventing corruption and building integrity both in the public service and in society as a whole. After all, the efficiency of public administration and the resilience of our country to current and future challenges directly depend on the quality of the entire anti-corruption infrastructure," said Oleg Nemchinov.
As a reminder, on February 27, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed Viktor Pavlushchyk to the position of the NACP. Since 2015, he has been working at the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), until now he was a senior detective - head of the NABU detective department. From 2008 to 2015, Mr. Pavlushchyk served in the Security Service of Ukraine in operational and managerial positions.
