To ensure the NACP fulfills its mandate in building integrity within the defence and security sector, the Department of Integrity Policy Making in the Defence and Security Sector (hereinafter referred to as 'the Department') operates within the Agency.
The NACP works in the field of building integrity within the defence and security sector, including through the implementation of international standards and NATO recommendations. This is achieved particularly through cooperation with international partners and the coordination of defence and security state authorities involved in implementing these recommendations.
The Department conducts strategic analyses of corruption risks in the defence and security sphere in order to identify corruption risks and provide recommendations on how to minimise them; conducts anti-corruption expertise of draft legal acts in the defence and security sphere submitted for consideration to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine or the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and provides methodological assistance to security and defence sector state authorities in identifying corruption risks in their activities and implementing measures to eliminate them.
