Main functions of the
Department for Ensuring Integrity in Political Finance:
1) Carries out state control over compliance with legally established restrictions on the financing of political parties, the lawful and targeted use by political parties of funds allocated from the state budget for the financing of their statutory activities, the timeliness of submission of party reports on property, income, expenditures, and financial obligations, reports on the receipt and use of electoral fund and all-Ukrainian referendum fund monies, the completeness of such reports, the conformity of their format to established requirements, and the authenticity of the information contained therein;
2) Takes measures to hold the perpetrators accountable in case of detecting signs of legislative violations during the verification of financial reports of political parties or information on violations of legislation in the field of political party financing, which serve as grounds for imposing administrative and criminal liability;
3) Prepares proposals for the distribution and transfer of funds allocated from the State Budget of Ukraine for the financing of the statutory activities of political parties based on the results of elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine;
4) Implements digital tools for the purpose of ensuring integrity in political finance, including during elections and referendums (Politdata);
5) Formulates policy in the field of financing political parties and election campaigns through the application of preventive anti-corruption mechanisms (provision of clarifications, methodological, and consultative assistance), the development of new conceptual approaches, and the drafting of normative legal acts.
