Main functions of the
Directorate for special vetting and control over timely submission of declarations:
1) controls the timely submission of declarations, notifications of significant changes in the financial status of declarants, and notifications of the opening of foreign currency accounts in non-resident bank institutions by declarants and their family members, except for certain categories of persons specified in sub-paragraphs «в», «г», «д», «е», «з», «и» of paragraph 1 of part one of Art. 3 of the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption" (hereinafter – the Law), in accordance with the requirements of Art. 52-1 of the Law and employees of the National Agency;
2) conducts special vetting regarding persons applying for positions that involve holding a responsible or particularly responsible position, as well as positions with increased corruption risk, the list of which is approved by the National Agency, concerning the presence of information about the candidate in the Unified State Register of Persons who have committed corruption or corruption-related offenses, as well as the accuracy of the information provided by the person in the declaration for the past year, including persons holding or applying for positions the occupancy of which constitutes a state secret;
3) implements measures for the formation and maintenance of the Unified State Register of Persons who have committed corruption or corruption-related offenses, regarding the inclusion or exclusion of information about natural persons who have been brought to criminal, administrative, disciplinary, and civil-law liability for committing corruption or corruption-related offenses, and legal entities to which measures of a criminal-law nature have been applied in connection with the commission of a corruption offense.
