
The Berestianska District Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv region, including based on materials from a full declaration audit conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), has notified a deputy of one of the village councils in Kharkiv region of suspicion of declaring false information amounting to over UAH 1.8 million.
In particular, according to the results of the 2021 full declaration audit, the NACP established that the official failed to declare the following:
- A residential house owned by her husband in Kharkiv region with an area of 117.9 sq.m. and worth over UAH 671,000, which was in her use;
- A land plot in Kharkiv region worth over UAH 226,000, which she rented;
- Her own TOYOTA LAND CRUISER PRADO 150, purchased for UAH 100,000 while its market value exceeded UAH 1 million;
- UAH 323,000 in income from the sale of a non-residential building;
- UAH 550,000 in cash jointly owned by her and her husband.
The total amount of inaccurate information declared exceeds UAH 1.8 million.
The official is charged with deliberately entering knowingly false information into the declaration (Part 1, Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Note. According to Part 1 of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in accordance with the law and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
