The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC AP) has left unchanged the decision of the court of first instance regarding the forfeiture to the state of an unjustified asset belonging to a head of a department within the Drug Crime Department of the National Police of Ukraine.
The asset in question is a half-share of an apartment in the capital, which the official and his wife acquired in 2021. The value of this asset exceeds UAH 1.8 million. During lifestyle monitoring, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) established that the couple did not have sufficient legal income to purchase this real estate.
As a reminder, on March 6, 2025, the HACC partially granted the lawsuit filed by a prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), based on NACP materials and collected evidence. The court recognised the disputed asset as unjustified and ruled to forfeit its value to the state.
By court decision, the value of this asset has been recovered for the state budget. The decision of the HACC Appeals Chamber enters into legal force from the moment of its pronouncement.
