The State Bureau of Investigations (SBI), based on materials from the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, has sent an indictment to court against the former head of the Central Directorate for Fuel and Lubricant Supply of the Logistics Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He is charged with illegal enrichment of more than UAH 17 million.
Based on the results of monitoring the official's lifestyle, the NACP found that in 2023-2024 he purchased 14 land plots in the Kyiv region, an apartment, Toyota Tundra, Škoda Octavia and Hyundai Tucson cars, and domestic government bonds issued by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. These assets were registered both in his name and in the names of his relatives.
The NACP analysed the income and expenses of the former military officer and his relatives and found that the defendant and his family had no legal sources for such purchases.
The suspect's actions are classified under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal enrichment). The former military officer is also accused of illegal handling of weapons, ammunition, or explosives (Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
