Main functions of the
Legal Directorate:
1) organizes and participates in ensuring the implementation of state legal policy in the sphere of corruption prevention and combating;
2) develops, independently or jointly with other self-contained structural subdivisions of the National Agency, drafts of regulatory legal acts and other acts;
3) considers drafts of regulatory legal acts and other acts received for approval on issues within the competence of the National Agency, and prepares proposals thereto;
4) conducts legal, gender-legal, and anti-discrimination expert review of drafts of regulatory legal acts, based on the results of which it prepares relevant conclusions;
5) implements measures for the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation in the sphere of corruption prevention and combating to the legislation of the European Union;
6) provides legal support for the international cooperation of the National Agency;
7) conducts work related to the conclusion of agreements, participates in their preparation and the implementation of measures aimed at fulfilling contractual obligations, and ensuring the protection of the property rights and legitimate interests of the National Agency;
8) conducts claims and litigation work (pre-trial claims and litigation work), including the pre-trial settlement of disputes;
9) ensures the self-representation of the interests of the National Agency, its officials and employees as subjects of authority, self-contained structural subdivisions, commissions, and other bodies established under the National Agency during pre-trial dispute resolution, consideration of cases in courts, as well as before other state authorities and local self-government bodies;
10) addresses the court with claims (applications) within the scope of powers defined by the provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On Corruption Prevention".
