The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) while monitoring the lifestyle and taking into account materials collected during the pre-trial investigation by the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI), found signs of unjustified assets worth 5.5 million UAH acquired by the former head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Territorial Centre for Recruitment and Social Support. The case was referred to the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO).
SAPO prosecutors filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to recognise the assets as unjustified and recover them for the state.
The case involves a house with land and two cars registered to the official's wife, an apartment registered to his daughter, and $20,000 that he acquired together with his wife.
NACP analysed the official's family's income and expenses and found that it was impossible to acquire the property in question from legal income. In addition, it was found that the property was purchased with cash, while the family's legal income was spent mainly in non-cash form.
