The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), in collaboration with the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI), while monitoring a lifestyle of the acting head of the State Tax Service in Poltava region, identified signs of acquiring unjustified assets worth UAH 6.1 million. All property acquired from 2020 to 2023 is registered under the names of family members, relatives of the official, and others.
In 2020, her sister became the owner of an apartment in Kyiv worth over UAH 2.2 million, despite not being financially capable of making such a purchase. According to the former owner of the property, the couple justified registering the property under another person's name by claiming that they were public servants.
In 2021, her father became the owner of a Land Rover Range Rover Velar car worth almost UAH 900,000. However, an analysis of his income showed the impossibility of making such a purchase with legal income. Moreover, evidence suggests that the car was purchased at the direction of the official couple for their use.
In 2023, her daughter purchased a Toyota C-HR Hybrid car worth almost UAH 1.5 million. However, the explanations provided to the NACP do not confirm the financial capacity for such a purchase
Furthermore, the official's husband bought an apartment in Poltava in 2016,worth almost UAH 1 million, despite his income being significantly more modest.
The lifestyle monitoring conducted by the NACP indicates that, at the direction of the official, unjustified assets with a total value of UAH 6.1 million were acquired in ownership by other individuals and members of her family in the period from 2020 to 2023.
The NACP has sent materials related to the suspected unjustified assets of the acting head of the State Tax Service in Poltava region to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office to address the matter of filing a lawsuit to recognize the assets as unjustified and to recover them as state revenue under Article 290 of the Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine.
