The number one priority for the NACP is to restore e-declaration and full verification of declarations as soon as possible. In this regard, the NACP's position is largely in line with the recommendations of the European Commission provided to the Government of Ukraine based on the results of the analysis of the relevant draft laws developed by the Ministry of Justice. This was emphasized by NACP Deputy Head Andriy Vyshnevskyy during a meeting with Xavier Camus, acting Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Alban Biaussat, EU Delegation to Ukraine Sector Manager, Allan Pagh Kristensen, the Head of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) and the EUACI expert Anton Marchuk.
Andriy Vyshnevskyy also noted that the NACP is waiting for the Commission on Independent External Evaluation of the NACP's Performance in 2020-2021 to respond to the NACP's comments on the draft report on the results of the just-completed evaluation. After the report is published, it will become an important source for reflecting on what has been achieved and planning further improvement of the NACP's work. In addition, since this is the first time such an independent external assessment of an anti-corruption agency has been conducted, its experience and lessons learned are important for the further development of the entire anti-corruption infrastructure.
During the discussion of the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy and the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2023-2025 (the Program), Xavier Camus invited the NACP to join the work on planning the EU's financial assistance to Ukraine in the coming years in order to find the right place and tools within this assistance to support the implementation of the Program.
In response to the NACP's request, Alban Biaussat assured that the EU Delegation is keen to continue to assist anti-corruption agencies in their ongoing screening work of Ukrainian anti-corruption legislation to ensure their compliance with the EU acquis which is binding on member states.

"On Ukraine's path to the EU, the issue of fighting corruption and implementing the Association Agreement is highly important. Ukraine continues to implement reforms despite the war and daily risks. This demonstrates the commitment to the principles of democracy and integrity, which the NACP actively promotes," said Allan Pagh Kristensen, the Head of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative.
