The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has found signs of unjustified assets in the lifestyle of the head of the Mlyniv village council in Rivne region.
NACP started lifestyle monitoring on the basis of a report from the Investigation Department of the Rivne Oblast National Police as part of a pre-trial investigation into the misappropriation, embezzlement or acquisition of property by an official through abuse of office.
NACP found that at the end of 2019, the official's mother-in-law entered into a contract for the purchase of a 230-square-meter residential building and an 831-square-meter land plot located in Rivne for almost UAH 4.2 million, which was paid by the end of 2021.
In addition, it was established that in 2023 the official's family acquired a boat worth almost UAH 1 million, as well as a land plot and a special truck.
The National Agency analyzed the income and expenditures of the official and his family members and found that it was impossible to acquire the property at the expense of legitimate income.
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to declare the assets unjustified and recover them for the state.
