Anti-corruption rules in action: NACP held training for military personnel of the Omega Special Purpose Centre

29.12.2025

The NACP Integrity Office conducted a training session entitled ‘Key Aspects of Anti-Corruption Legislation’ for military personnel at the Omega Special Purpose Centre. The main focus of the training was not on formal knowledge of the law, but on the ability to apply it in real-life work situations.

“The NACP has a wide range of tools to prevent and combat corruption. The effectiveness of this work largely depends on high-quality interaction with state bodies, institutions, and organizations. That is why cooperation with those responsible for anti-corruption functions at the local level is critically important. The effectiveness of preventive anti-corruption measures depends on their competence, attentiveness and responsibility,” emphasized Mykola Korneliuk, Deputy Head of the NACP.

Iryna Tymchenko, Head of the Education and Training Programmes Department at the NACP, focused on key areas of anti-corruption work: conflict of interest resolution, compliance with anti-corruption restrictions and prohibitions, mechanisms for reporting corruption, and work with the Unified Portal for Whistleblower Reports.

Each training topic combined a theoretical block with a practical component. Participants worked in groups on real cases, analysed risk situations, practised algorithms of actions in the event of a conflict of interest, and jointly discussed possible management decisions, taking into account the requirements of the law. This approach allowed them not only to systematize their knowledge, but also to see how anti-corruption norms work in specific professional contexts.

The training was another step towards strengthening a culture of integrity, responsible management and a preventive approach to combating corruption in the security and defence sector.
