The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) upheld a claim filed by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) based on materials from the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) and confiscated assets worth over UAH 1.9 million from the deputy head of the Poltava Regional Territorial Center for recruitment and social support.
During the monitoring of the official's lifestyle, NACP found that in May 2023, his mother purchased a three-room apartment of 97.7 square meters for more than UAH 1.9 million without having the financial means to do so. At the same time, it was found that the apartment was actually used by the official and his family members.
In August 2024, SAPO filed a lawsuit to recognize the asset as unjustified and recover it for the state. After hearing the arguments of the parties, the court agreed with the prosecutor's position and satisfied the claim in full. The court decision can be appealed within 30 days from the date of its full text.
