The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), based on the results of lifestyle monitoring and in cooperation with the State Bureau of Investigation, as well as on evidence obtained by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), found signs of acquisition of unjustified assets worth UAH 7.8 million by a patrol policeman of the Kharkiv District Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in Kharkiv Region.

It was established that the law enforcement officer and his wife own a 2018 Lexus LX 450 car worth UAH 3.7 million, as well as an apartment in Kharkiv worth UAH 5.8 million.

An analysis of the couple's legal income and savings shows that they were able to accumulate assets worth about UAH 1.6 million. This amount only partially covers the cost of acquiring the property. The origin of the remaining UAH 7.8 million is unknown.

Therefore, the SAPO prosecutors filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to recognize the assets as unjustified and recover them for the state.
