The National Agency on Corruption Prevention and one of Ukraine's leading law universities, Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, have extended their Memorandum of Cooperation. The document was signed by NACP Deputy Head Mykola Korneliuk and the University Rector Anatolii Hetman.
NACP and the University are consolidating their efforts to carry out scientific, educational and awareness-raising activities in the field of corruption prevention and building integrity, taking into account the best domestic and foreign experience. As part of this cooperation, NACP actively engages law students in internships and practical training, offering a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of corruption prevention.
The cooperation between NACP and Yaroslav Mudryi Law University will include joint research, development of methods for preventing corruption offenses, and development of anti-corruption education. The university also plans to train authorized persons for the prevention and detection of corruption on the basis of the master's degree program “Prevention of Corruption”, and at the first (bachelor's) level - to introduce an elective course “Anti-Corruption and Integrity” on the basis of specialized faculties.
“Training of future lawyers is not only about learning theory, but also about developing skills of responsible work in practice. Thanks to the NACP internship, students gain a unique experience, and the best of them have the opportunity to start a career in the field of corruption prevention, demonstrating their level of professional training,” said Mykola Korneliuk.
The National Agency employs 53 graduates of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. On the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day and its 220th anniversary, the university awarded diplomas to the most successful former graduates who are now NACP employees.
This year, 20 university students have completed internships and practice at NACP, five of whom have already been employed.
