The Contact Center of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) provides ongoing advice on declaring and resolving conflicts of interest and collects feedback from users to improve the agency's work. In addition, technical support is available at support@nazk.gov.ua.
"A big challenge for the Agency was the resumption of the declaration for 2021-2022 on October 12, 2023, and for the 2023 reporting period on January 1, 2024, after a break caused by Russia's full-scale invasion. At that time, the number of requests for advice from users to the NACP contact center increased 4.5 times. At the same time, there was a need to promptly update general explanations and methodological recommendations in the Knowledge Base to reflect changes in legislation, as well as to supplement them, taking into account these requests. NACP specialists processed more than 4 thousand comments in the Knowledge Base and more than 9 thousand questionnaires filled in by declarants after submitting their declarations,” said NACP Head Viktor Pavlushchyk.
In total, during 2024, the contact center received about 50.5 thousand calls from users and processed almost 23 thousand emails sent to the technical support service. The Declaration Clarification Department received more than 1.6 thousand written letters, and the Conflict of Interest Clarification Department received about 1.3 thousand.
Also in 2024, the National Agency:
- Continuously updated the Clarifications on Financial Integrity;
- amended the Guidelines on Prevention and Settlement of Conflicts of Interest, Compliance with Restrictions on Prevention of Corruption;
- updated the explanations for the 2024 declaration campaign.
- changed approaches to providing consultations, refocusing its assistance on anti-corruption commissioners in government agencies, as a survey conducted in June-August 2024 showed that more than 65% of people who had questions that could be answered by an authorized person did not seek advice from them.
"We focus on business standards and constantly improve our approach to providing explanations and recommendations. We are also actively modernizing the NACP products, tools and services. Our goal is to simplify the declaration process as much as possible, to make the algorithms for identifying and resolving conflicts of interest convenient and understandable. Increased user satisfaction based on feedback confirms that the Agency is successfully adapting to their needs, contributing to increased efficiency and trust in our services. In 2025, we will continue to improve to maintain our client-centered approach,” said Ilona Katushynska, Head of the Department for Formation of Legal Positions on Declaration and Conflict of Interest.
