On July 24, 2024, Viktor Pavlushchyk, Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), appointed Sergiy Gupiak as his deputy.
Prior to his appointment to the National Agency, Sergiy Gupiak worked as the Head of the Fourth Investigation Department of the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigation located in Khmelnytskyi, and later headed this department.
Since 2008, he has worked in the prosecutor's office, rising from an investigator to the head of the Vinnytsia Region Prosecutor's Office.
In 2022-2023, he was a candidate for the position of Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, being one of the three winners of the competition.
He participated in this year's competition for the position of the Head of the NACP, where he also reached the final.
He graduated from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law Academy of Ukraine, and later from the National Academy of Prosecution of Ukraine with honors.
“We are currently highlighting the areas of anti-corruption policy development and implementation in the NACP activities, as well as deepening the expertise of the Agency's specialists in specific areas, primarily those most affected by corruption. Sergiy Gupiak will be responsible for implementing the already developed anti-corruption policies and measures. Strengthening the area of expert strategic analysis of corruption risks to identify and eliminate corruption schemes in all major areas of the country's functioning is among the NACP priorities. After all, the implementation of the State Anti-Corruption Program and, above all, the quality of life of Ukrainians depend on the effectiveness of this area. Sergiy Gupiak's work experience, managerial skills and vision of the NACP challenges and priorities, formed during the competition for the position of the Head of the National Agency, will help him to effectively develop these areas of work and strengthen the institution,” said NACP Head Viktor Pavlushchyk.
