Deputy Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention
Born on August 19, 1979 in the village of Kompaniivka, Kirovohrad oblast.
Education
From 1996 to 2001, he studied at the National University “Yaroslav the Wise Law Academy of Ukraine”, where he graduated with honors.
Professional activity
From May 12, 2022, he was appointed the Deputy Head of the NACP. Artem Sytnyk is responsible for the following areas of the NACP’s work:
- NACP’s coordination with law enforcement agencies and prosecutors, including issues related to consideration of e-declarations verifications results and identification of assets of those involved in Russian aggression against Ukraine;
- financial control, conducting special verifications, lifestyle monitoring, checking compliance with legislation, including in the field of corruption prevention;
- prevention and settlement of conflicts of interest;
- monitoring and control over the implementation of legislation on the ethical conduct of public officials, prevention, and settlement of conflicts of interest.
In 2015, Artem Sytnyk was appointed Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) as a result of the first independent competition in Ukraine for the position of the Head of NABU. He held this position until 2022, ensuring the establishment and development of the law enforcement body.
2011 - 2015 — practiced law, headed the law firm "Legal Guarantees".
2008 - 2011 — Head of the Investigative Department of the Prosecutor's Office of the Kyiv oblast.
2004 - 2006 — Senior Investigator, Head of the Investigative Department of the Prosecutor's Office of the Kirovohrad oblast.
In 2004, Artem Sytnyk was appointed to the position of Senior Investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of the Kirovohrad oblast, and in October 2006 he headed the Investigative Department of the Prosecutor's Office.
2001 - 2003 — Assistant Prosecutor, Investigator of the Leninsky District of Kirovohrad.
