The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) presented the public part of the Information System for Monitoring the Implementation of State Anti-Corruption Policy.
"This is an important digital tool that provides the public and all government agencies with information on the status of implementation of the State Anti-Corruption Program (SACP). The NACP is open and provides tools for everyone's use. The development of this product is unique to the National Agency. For almost a year, the NACP, with the support of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI), has been working on this system to make it as user-friendly as possible," said NACP Head Oleksandr Novikov.
The NACP Head thanked the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative for its continued support in implementing such an ambitious project.
The Information system is designed in such a way as to assist the government agencies implementing the SACP in organizing, planning, and ensuring proper realization of the Program's activities, as well as automating the processes of collecting, summarizing, and publishing information.
According to EUACI expert Oleksandr Komarov, this tool will not only provide an opportunity to track progress in the implementation of anti-corruption measures but will also be used by the European Union to assess Ukraine's progress on the path to EU membership.
The NACP experts spoke about the possibilities of using the Information system and demonstrated how to use it effectively.
The Head of the Anti-Corruption Policy Department, Dmytro Kalmykov, noted that the English version of the system will be available in the fall. Soon we will also see a public feedback tool.
For reference. On June 28, the National Agency put into operation the internal part of the Information System for Monitoring the Implementation of State Anti-Corruption Policy.
From July 1 to July 15, authorized representatives of public authorities, or "implementers of the SACP," reported through the Information system on the status of implementation of the Program's activities for the second quarter of 2023.
From July 16 to August 16, the NACP analysts conducted the first monitoring of the implementation of the Program's activities. The results of this monitoring are already available in the public part of the system.
Implementation of this tool is also a requirement according to the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption" (Article 18-4).
