Knowledge to Act: take the quiz on Whistleblowing and Corruption Exposure

13.03.2026

Corruption remains one of the primary obstacles to national development. At the same time, an increasing number of Ukrainians are ready to counteract it by reporting violations and abuses. It is these proactive citizens who become the drivers of positive change.

The institution of whistleblowing in Ukraine is actively evolving and already demonstrating real results as a powerful tool in the fight against corrupt practices:

  • Since its launch in September 2023, more than 11,000 organisations from all regions of Ukraine have connected to the Unified Whistleblower Reporting Portal;
  • Approximately 9,000 reports have been submitted through the Portal;
  • Whistleblower status has been confirmed for nearly 190 individuals;
  • In 2024, for the first time in Ukrainian history, whistleblower rewards were paid out. Following rulings by the High Anti-Corruption Court, two individuals received payments totalling over UAH 15 million for their assistance in exposing corruption schemes;
  • Public support for whistleblowers has reached an all-time high of 74.3% (according to the “Corruption in Ukraine 2024” study). This figure has increased by 7% compared to 2023;
  • Support for whistleblowers from the business community remains consistently high, exceeding 85% throughout 2023–2024.

To help citizens better understand whistleblowing opportunities, rights and protection mechanisms available to whistleblowers, the Diia.Education platform, in collaboration with the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), has created a short interactive quiz: “Exposing Corruption: From the First Step to the Reward.” By completing it, you will learn:

  • How to distinguish corrupt acts from other legal offences;
  • Where and how to report them while maintaining confidentiality;
  • What rights and guarantees a whistleblower possesses;
  • How real-life whistleblower cases drive change in the country.

Awareness is the first step toward action. Test your knowledge on Diia.Education!

The NACP prepared the quiz as part of an information and awareness campaign to increase public knowledge of whistleblowing in Ukraine.
