Based on the materials sent by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) monitoring lifestyle the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) reported suspicion of illegal enrichment to the head of the special purpose emergency rescue unit of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service (SES) in the Zaporizhzhia region. The proceedings are being conducted under the procedural guidance of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office.
During monitoring, authorized persons of the NACP established that between 2021 and 2023, the SES official purchased luxury cars: a 2020 Volkswagen Touareg, Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 2021 and Toyota Land Cruiser 3.3 Twin Turbo 10 AT Premium PD 2022, as well as cash. He was unable to confirm the legality of the assets. In addition, these ‘purchases’ significantly exceed the declarant's official income—the amount of unjustified assets reaches almost UAH 13 million.
After analysing the income and expenses of the official and his family, the NACP concluded that it was impossible to acquire these assets from legal income.

We would like to remind you that the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) upheld the decision of the court of first instance, which recognized the assets belonging to a prosecutor of one of the departments of the Office of the Prosecutor General as unfounded and ordered their confiscation in favour of the state (civil forfeiture).
