NACP finds violations in the declaration of the deputy head of Odesa regional council worth half a million UAH

07.01.2025

The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has found signs of declaring false information in the declaration of the deputy head of the Odesa Regional Council for more than half a million UAH. These facts were established based on the results of a full audit of his declaration for 2023.

NACP found that the official did not indicate in the declaration information about a car worth UAH 500 thousand and drew up a report on an administrative offense related to corruption under Part 4 of Art. 172-6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which, together with the relevant materials, was sent to the Primorsky District Court of Odesa.

At the same time, during the collection of data to draw up the protocol to confirm the accuracy of the information reflected in the declaration, the official provided NACP with a document with signs of falsification.

In this regard, NACP sent a notice to the National Police of Ukraine about a possible criminal offense under Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps). The Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in Odesa Oblast launched a pre-trial investigation.

The results of full verifications of declarations can be found in the section “About the NACP -> Results of activities - > Full verifications”.

Warning. In accordance with part one of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person shall be presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
