National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), while monitoring the lifestyle of a former Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, found signs of a corruption criminal offense in his actions, which indicate his illicit enrichment of almost UAH 29 million.
In particular, NACP found that, on behalf of the official, related parties acquired the following unjustified assets:
- LEXUS ES 300H car worth over UAH 960 thousand
- LEXUS NX 300H car worth more than UAH 480 thousand;
- PORSCHE MACAN T car worth UAH 3.5 million;
- house and land plot in Kyiv worth UAH 16.3 million;
- house and land plot in Odesa worth UAH 10 million;
- apartment and land plot in Antalya (Turkey) worth UAH 3.9 million.
In addition, the legal sources of the official's cash in the amount of over UAH 2 million, as well as the Tether cryptocurrency (USDT), have not been established.
The materials regarding the former Deputy Prosecutor General were sent to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine for inclusion in the criminal proceedings and pre-trial investigation.
Warning. In accordance with part one of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person shall be presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
