The Deputy Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) Yaroslav Lyubchenko was appointed by the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 344/2023 of June 20, 2023 as the National Coordinator for Ukraine's cooperation with NATO in the field of building integrity.
From now on, as a member of the Commission for the Coordination of Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, the representative of the NACP will be responsible for the coordination of the NATO-led Integrity Building Program (NATO BI Program). It provides practical tools to help participating countries and partners strengthen integrity, transparency and accountability, and reduce the risk of corruption in the security and defense sector.
Within the framework of the cooperation of NAKC with the NATO VI Program, it is planned to:
- the involvement of NATO BI experts during the coordination of the implementation of the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2023-2025;
- implementation of NATO recommendations based on the assessment of institutions of the security and defense sector regarding the identification of corruption risks, previously conducted by the BI Program;
- strategic analysis of corruption risks in the security and defense sector.
