Promoting sanctions will become easier: NACP launches a new section on the "War and Sanctions" web portal
The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) continues to upgrade its largest sanctions database in the world, the "War and Sanctions" web portal. The portal now has a section "Candidates for sanctions" that will help to easily find potential candidates for sanctions both in Ukraine and in the countries of the sanctions coalition, as well as offer a list of justifications and evidence to promote the application of sanctions more quickly and effectively. The section should simplify the work of diplomats around the world in compiling sanctions lists, as well as help journalists and the public follow the progress of sanctions, focus on priority sanctions targets, and promote them worldwide. In addition, it will be an assistant for financial institutions, investors, compliance professionals, HR departments, sellers or buyers of goods, and anyone who cares whether their real or potential counterparty, partner, or employee will be sanctioned tomorrow. It should be noted that cooperation with candidates for sanctions is highly risky. Many companies and countries already use the lists of sanction candidates as an identifier of potentially undesirable companies or individuals for cooperation. The role of the NACP in sanctions policy is defined in the Roadmap for Individual Sanctions developed by the Stanford International Working Group on Russian Sanctions.
