The Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office has submitted an indictment to the court against a former official of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine in the Vinnytsia region. The action was taken, among other grounds, based on materials from a full audit of the 2023 declaration conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP). She is accused of declaring false information worth over UAH 2.5 million.
In particular, the former official failed to declare:
- an unfinished house with an area of 95 sq.m. worth over UAH 1.4 million in the Vinnytsia region. This unfinished building is located on a land plot that the former official acquired during the reporting period, allegedly as "free of construction", whereas an unfinished building was already located on it at the time of purchase.
- a pharmacy premises with a total area of 88.99 sq.m. worth UAH 652 thousand in the Vinnytsia region;
- a one-time expenditure of over UAH 180 thousand for the purchase of household appliances.
In addition, the former official included false information in the declaration regarding the amount of her own funds in bank accounts, overstating their amount by more than UAH 260 thousand.
The NACP also established that during the reporting period, the declarant acquired assets totalling UAH 2.8 million. Out of this amount, assets worth UAH 2.6 million show signs of being unjustified, meaning they are not backed by lawful sources of income. The Agency has forwarded the relevant materials to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
The former official is charged with intentional entry of knowingly false information into the declaration (Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The pretrial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Vinnytsia region.
