Apartment worth UAH 4.4 Million and a Renault Duster: unjustified assets of former Mykolaiv Official face confiscation

16.03.2026

Following a lifestyle monitoring check by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) and additional evidence gathered independently, a prosecutor from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) has filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC). The lawsuit seeks to recognise the assets of a former local council deputy from the Mykolaiv region as unjustified.

The NACP monitoring revealed that the former official acquired assets significantly exceeding his legal income. Specifically, the investigation highlights:

  • A 2024 Renault Duster is valued at over UAH 1 million.
  • An apartment in Stryi, Lviv region, worth over UAH 4.4 million, registered in his wife's name.

The discrepancy between the value of these assets and the former deputy’s confirmed legal earnings amounts to UAH 5.4 million.

In light of these findings, SAPO has requested that the HACC declare these assets unjustified and seize them for state revenue through civil forfeiture.
