The Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, based in part on materials from a full verification of the 2023 declaration conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), has submitted an indictment to court against a court session secretary of the Uman City-District Court of the Cherkasy Region.
The official is accused of declaring false information worth over UAH 5.4 million.
During the verification, the NACP established that she had, among other things, concealed information about real estate in Uman worth over UAH 5.3 million acquired during marriage and owned by her husband, specifically:
- a land plot of 1,939 sq. m. with non-residential premises (257 sq.m) located on it, with a combined value of UAH 1.7 million;
- a land plot of 1,200 sq.m., with an estimated value of UAH 3 million;
- a land plot of 100 sq. m., with an estimated value of UAH 150 thousand;
- 3 apartments that were purchased at prices at least three times lower than market value;
- her own income amounting to UAH 110 thousand.
The official denied knowing about this property. However, the verification established that all of the aforementioned real estate properties were purchased with her notarially certified consent.
She is charged with the intentional submission of knowingly false information in her declaration, an offence under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Cherkasy Region.
Caution. According to Part 1 of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven through legal procedures and established by a court's verdict of conviction.
