The Zhytomyr Regional Prosecutor’s Office, including based on materials from full verifications of declarations conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), has referred to court an indictment against a deputy of the Shvaikivska Village Council of Berdychiv district, Zhytomyr region. The official is accused of declaring false information amounting to over UAH 46 million.
During full verifications of his declarations for 2022, 2023, and 2024, the NACP established that, among other things, the deputy failed to declare information on:
- income from unidentified sources exceeding UAH 5.8 million, received in 2023 and used to repay debt;
- financial liabilities to companies owned by him exceeding UAH 23 million (over UAH 7.3 million in 2022; over UAH 5.7 million in 2023; over UAH 10 million in 2024);
- expenditures on repayment of these liabilities exceeding UAH 9.4 million (over UAH 125 thousand in 2022; over UAH 5.7 million in 2023; UAH 1 million in 2024);
- personal income from business activities, disposal of property, and salary totalling over UAH 325 thousand, received in 2022;
- his corporate rights in companies worth over UAH 5.7 million (UAH 1.9 million in 2022 and UAH 3.8 million in 2023);
- a land plot in the Berdychiv district, Zhytomyr region (in 2024).
The official is charged with intentionally entering knowingly false information into a declaration (Part 2, Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zhytomyr region under the procedural supervision of the Zhytomyr Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
