The Konotop City District Court of Sumy Region found a former deputy of the Duboviazivka Village Council of Konotop District guilty of providing false information in his declaration (Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court's verdict has come into force.

The court sentenced him to a fine of UAH 51,000 and deprived him of the right to hold office or engage in activities related to the performance of state or local government functions for a period of one year.

Following a full audit of the 2022 declaration, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) found that the former MP had failed to declare property worth over UAH 4.4 million. In particular, he did not declare:

  • an apartment in Kyiv with an area of 49 square metres worth over UAH 1.9 million, owned by his wife, with the declarant giving his consent to the acquisition of this property;
  • a non-residential building with an area of 381.9 square metres in the village of Tuchne, Sumy region, which he owns;
  • 26 land plots belonging to his wife and leased to a company on behalf of which the declarant signed lease agreements as the company's director;
  • three trucks and a semi-trailer owned by his wife and transferred to the same company for use;
  • his wife's income from leasing land plots, wages and balances in her bank accounts.

A full list of persons subject to full audits by NACP, as well as the results of the audits, can be found here.
