Full audits of officials' declarations Medical and Social Expert Commission: 11 audits completed, unreliable information worth UAH 58.2 million and illicit enrichment worth UAH 16.4 million revealed

In 2024-2025, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) launched full audits of 17 declarations of the Medical and Social Expert Commission employees, of which seven declarations were selected based on the results of a risk assessment using logical and arithmetic control and 10 based on reports. We completed audits of 11 declarations, which revealed signs of false information worth UAH 58.2 million and signs of illicit enrichment in one declaration worth UAH 16.4 million, and sent nine substantiated conclusions to law enforcement agencies.

As a reminder, in December 2024, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law on Reforming Medical and Social Expert Commissions (MSECs), which were replaced by expert teams to assess the daily functioning of a person. According to the Law, members of expert teams became declarants, i.e. persons subject to the Law of Ukraine ‘On Prevention of Corruption’. The NACP has prepared clarifications on the declaration of this category of officials.

Warning. In accordance with part one of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
