Implementation of the NACP's order: The Cabinet of Ministers appointed an investigation into the Head of the Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries, Ivan Rudyi

16.01.2024

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (CMU) has ordered an internal investigation into Ivan Rudyi, Head of the Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (hereinafter - Commission), whose actions were found to be corruption-related by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP).

This is stated by the Cabinet of Ministers in its Order No. 25 of January 12, 2024. The National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service is responsible for conducting such an investigation and must conduct it within the next two months from the date of adoption of this order.

As a reminder, on January 5, 2024, the NACP drew up a protocol against the Head of the Commission in connection with the detection of an administrative offense under Parts 1, 2 of Article 172-7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses: failure to report a real conflict of interest, taking actions, or making decisions in conditions of a real conflict of interest.

Thus, based on the whistleblower's appeal to the NACP for protection, an inspection was conducted, and violations of whistleblower rights in the activities of the Head of the Commission were established.

Based on the results of the inspection, on December 28, 2023, the NACP issued an order to the CMU, as the body coordinating the activities of the Commission, to eliminate violations of the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption" in the activities of the Commission and bring the perpetrators to justice.
