Inaccurate information worth more than UAH 55.8 million was found as a result of 51 full audits of declarations

06.05.2024

The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has launched 402 full verifications of declarations since the beginning of 2024. As a result of the 51 audits already completed, inaccurate information worth over UAH 55.8 million, facts of illicit enrichment worth over UAH 14.7 million, and unjustified assets worth almost UAH 1.3 million have been revealed.

In particular, the following signs were found:

  • Unjustified assets worth UAH 1.3 million of an employee of the Kamen-Kashyr District State Administration of Volyn Oblast;
  • False information (Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) in:

- a deputy of Vinnytsia City Council (UAH 12.5 million)

- the head of the Territorial Centres of Recruitment and Social Support of Dnipropetrovs'k region (UAH 6.2 mln);

- a deputy of Dubno City Council of Rivne region (UAH 5.6 million);

- a member of the Dnipro City Council (UAH 4 million);

- a member of the Pohrebyshche District Council (UAH 3.9 million);

- Deputy Mayor of Koziatyn (UAH 2.4 million);

The full list of persons subject to full-scale audits and the results of the audits can be found here.

The relevant materials were sent to the National Police of Ukraine for consideration of initiating criminal proceedings under Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and drawing up a report of administrative offense under Part 4 of Art. 172-6 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.

Currently, the NACP authorized persons are conducting 340 inspections. The majority of these declarations were filed by representatives of local governments - 65, including 46 local councilors and 19 regional councilors. The declarations of officials are also under full verification:

  • judicial authorities (28 judges, 6 other officials);
  • state-owned enterprises (21 heads of enterprises, 8 deputy heads);
  • customs and tax authorities (14 tax officers, 10 customs officers, including 2 heads of customs);
  • pre-trial investigation bodies (19 prosecutors, 9 investigators, 3 inquirers);
  • Members of Parliament - 14.

First of all, we are talking about officials from Kyiv city (139 declarations), Odesa region (35 declarations), Kyiv region (24 declarations), Lviv region (21 declarations), Dnipropetrovs'k region (16 declarations), Kharkiv region (15 declarations), Cherkasy region (15 declarations), and others.

We emphasize that the start of a full inspection does not mean that the declarant has committed a corruption or corruption-related offense.

In case the verification reveals violations, the NACP will take measures to bring the person to statutory liability, and if there are grounds, will send materials to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office to decide on the confiscation of unjustified assets.
