The Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), based on the results of lifestyle monitoring by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) and on the basis of evidence obtained independently, filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) to recognise as unjustified assets worth over UAH 7.3 million belonging to the families of district court judges in Kyiv and to confiscate them for the state (civil forfeiture).
This includes part of an apartment worth over UAH 6 million, a parking space worth over UAH 622,000, and part of another parking space worth over UAH 540,000 in an elite residential complex in the capital.
NACP established that part of these assets was acquired by a relative of the couple in 2022-2023 at a significantly reduced price — almost half the market value. However, the property was actually controlled by officials.
After analysing the income and savings of the judges' spouses and their relative, NACP established that they could not have acquired the assets from their legal income.
The assets may be seized in favour of the state by decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court in accordance with Article 290 of the Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine.
At present, at the request of the SAPO prosecutor, the High Anti-Corruption Court has seized the aforementioned property.
