Lifestyle monitoring: UAH 8.6 million could be confiscated from an official of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Service Center in favor of the state

08.09.2025

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), taking into account the evidence it collected independently, as well as materials provided by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) and the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) seeking to declare unjustified the assets belonging to an official of a regional Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The case concerns:

  • five apartments and four parking spaces in Zakarpattia region;
  • cars: a 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ E 200, a BMW 730D, and a 2018 AUDI A8.

The total value of the assets exceeds UAH 8.6 million.

During lifestyle monitoring, NACP established that the property was registered in the name of the official and his family members. At the same time, a vehicle formally registered to his daughter was purchased at a price 15 times lower than its market value.

It should be noted that as soon as the verification of the legality of asset acquisition began, the official and his family members re-registered part of the property in the names of close associates.

Authorized representatives of the National Agency analyzed the incomes and expenses of the official and his relatives and concluded that the assets could not have been acquired with legal funds.

The assets may be recovered in favor of the state by decision of the HACC in accordance with Article 290 of the Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine.
