The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has completed a full audit of the declarations of officials from two municipal enterprises (MEs) in Kyiv. The Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv has launched a pre-trial investigation into both cases under Part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (declaration of false information).
In particular, in the 2023 declaration of the acting head of the Solomyanskyi District Road Maintenance Department of Kyiv, the NACP found signs of inaccurate information worth over UAH 9.6 million. The official failed to declare information about:
- his own land plot worth over UAH 1.4 million;
- corporate rights, where he is a co-owner of a company;
- the value of an apartment worth UAH 4.8 million belonging to his wife;
- the value of a parking space belonging to his wife worth UAH 700,000;
- the value of five Renault Master cars belonging to his wife;
- 4,000 US dollars received by him as an inheritance.
At the same time, he declared UAH 450,000 in cash, the existence of which was not confirmed during the audit. In addition, the value of his wife's assets — an apartment worth UAH 4.8 million, a parking space worth UAH 700,000, and five cars with a total value of UAH 2.4 million — significantly exceeds the amount of income received from confirmed sources.
In the 2022 declaration of the deputy director for construction preparation at the Kyiv Road and Transport Construction Directorate, the NACP found signs of inaccurate information amounting to over UAH 24.2 million. The official did not declare an apartment in Kyiv worth UAH 3.5 million, where he lived with his family. At the same time, the official was unable to confirm the legality of the origin of his wife's cash savings - 450 thousand US dollars (equivalent to about UAH 18.8 million), 80 thousand euros (equivalent to UAH 3.8 million) and UAH 885 thousand.
