The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has published clarifications on the criteria for including and excluding global companies from the list of "International Sponsors of War (ISW)" on the "War and Sanctions" portal.
The goal and task of the NACP is reputational pressure. It is important that such companies have reputationally disadvantageous cooperation with the aggressor, they closed their business in Russia and realized the position of the entire democratic world.
What are the main criteria for companies to be included in the list of "International sponsors of war", what are the legal consequences of this, who can initiate inclusion and how can companies leave this list - the answers to these questions can be found in detail on the website.
The position of NACP is that the primary candidates are those companies that provide the public and private sector with goods and services of critical purpose, as well as replenish the country's budget, thereby financing the war. In addition, they provide indirect support to Russia's military efforts (for example, support for Russian propaganda, a mobilization campaign).
NACP introduced this tool in the summer of 2022. During this time, 26 international companies were added to the list.
We would like to remind you that the list of "International Sponsors of War" was developed by NACP and posted on the "War and Sanctions" portal. All companies that cooperate with the aggressor and are included in the registry of "International Sponsors of War" are entered into the world's largest database World-Check.
