The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) will join the preparation of legislative changes to preserve the independence of the anti-corruption and law enforcement systems, the principle of the inevitability of punishment, and public trust.
The NACP is responsible for the regular analysis of draft laws, current legislation, and its application to ensure that the changes align with international standards (the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), and EU anti-corruption legislation; priorities of the Anti-Corruption Strategy and the State Anti-Corruption Program.
This was discussed at a meeting with the President of Ukraine, heads of the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, the NACP, the State Bureau of Investigation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General. The participants agreed to work together on a coordinated action plan to increase the efficiency and independence of anti-corruption and law enforcement agencies and eliminate existing legal contradictions.
