The Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), based on the results of lifestyle monitoring conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) and based on materials from the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) has filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) to recognise the assets of the former head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Chernihiv region, amounting to over UAH 8.4 million, as unjustified and to seize them for the state.

It has been established that, on the instructions of the former head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Chernihiv region, close associates acquired movable and immovable property in one of the central districts of Kyiv in 2021-2023. Among the acquisitions are a 2020 Volvo XC vehicle, four parking spaces and an apartment.

The difference between the value of the property and the legal income amounted to over UAH 8.4 million. NACP found no evidence of legal sources of financing for such acquisitions.

The SAPO is requesting the court to issue a decision to seize these assets for the state budget.
