Porsche, Mercedes, and real estate in a recreational zone: former Kharkiv utility chief suspected of false declaration

08.05.2026

Investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office and based on materials from the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), have served a notice of suspicion to the former director of a Kharkiv City Council utility company for declaring false assets totalling nearly 4.3 million UAH.

According to the results of a full audit of the former official's 2023 declaration, the NACP established that he concealed:

  • A garden house (89.9 sq. m.) and two plots of land where it is located, situated within the “Korobiv Khutir” gardening association in the Kharkiv region. His wife owned this property.
  • Porsche Cayenne (2013) and Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG (2008) vehicles that were in his possession.

The individual's actions are classified under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (knowingly declaring false information).

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted with the operational support of the 7th Directorate (serving the Kharkiv region) of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine.

Disclaimer: In accordance with Part 1 of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in accordance with the law and established by a court's verdict of guilty.
