NACP assessed the effectiveness of anti-corruption representatives in three more institutions

25.09.2024

The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has completed an assessment of the performance of anti-corruption representatives in three executive agencies. The work of the State Service of Maritime and Inland Water Transport and Shipping of Ukraine was assessed as excellent, and the work of the State Labor Service of Ukraine and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection was assessed as satisfactory. More information on the evaluation reports is available on the Integrity Portal.

The work of the Anti-Corruption Authorized Representative was assessed in terms of fulfillment of the main 27 tasks, including the development and relevance of documents defining internal policies aimed at effective prevention and detection of corruption, providing employees with methodological and advisory assistance, monitoring compliance with anti-corruption legislation, organizing work on assessing corruption risks in the activities of the relevant body, etc.

Previously, the NACP has assessed such bodies as the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The next evaluation of the performance of anti-corruption representatives is planned for regional military (state) administrations.

As a reminder, in July 2024, the NACP started evaluating the performance of the anti-corruption commissioners using a new methodology that provides for determining the level of efficiency based on the analysis of information provided by the representatives on the results of their activities. The analysis covers all areas of their activities for the previous year.

For reference

Anti-Corruption Representative is a person in the organization responsible for implementing the anti-corruption program, ensuring the organization of measures to prevent and detect corruption, whose powers are provided for by the Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption”.

The assessment process helps to improve the professional skills of anti-corruption representatives, departmental anti-corruption policy and increases the transparency of anti-corruption activities of state institutions.
