On the evening of February 1, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) sent the finalized draft of the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2023-2025 to the Cabinet of Ministers.
This was preceded by the morning meeting of the Government Committee on National Security, Defense and Law Enforcement, chaired by the Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov. At the meeting headed by the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleg Nemchynov, the Program draft was unanimously approved with revisions based on the results of the discussion during the meeting and it was recommended to submit it to the Cabinet of Ministers for consideration after revisions.
"Immediately after the meeting of the Governmental Committee, the NACP quickly processed all comments and suggestions expressed by the Governmental Committee and held several additional coordination meetings. Late in the evening, we officially submitted the finalized draft of the Program together with a full package of supporting documents to the Government and personally reported it to the Prime Minister of Ukraine with a request to consider this document at an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet on Thursday, February 2," - said Andrii Vyshnevskyi, Deputy Head of the NACP.
The NACP hopes for the adoption of the Program by the Government today, on the eve of the Ukraine-EU Summit, because its approval will meet the urgent public demand for combating corruption and will contribute to speeding up the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU.
