The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has found signs of declaring false information in the declaration of the head of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Khmelnytsky region for more than UAH 27.8 million. These facts were established based on the results of a full audit of his declaration for 2023.
In particular, the declarant did not indicate that his wife purchased two cars in 2023 - an AUDI Q8 (2023) and an AUDI Q5 (2023) - with a total value of over UAH 5 million. The payment for the cars was made by third parties.
Also, the declaration does not reflect the wife's commercial premises located in Khmelnytskyi, where she carries out business activities in the field of retail trade in furniture and lighting accessories. The total value of this property is over UAH 22.7 million.
The declarant explained that he did not know about his wife's purchase of vehicles and her ownership of real estate. However, these statements were refuted during the audit.
Based on the results of the full inspection, the Main Investigation Department of the State Bureau of Investigation initiated criminal proceedings on the grounds of a criminal offence under Part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Warning. In accordance with part one of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person shall be presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
