The State Bureau of Investigations (SBI), based in part on the findings of a repeat full audit of the 2022 declaration carried out by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), has referred an indictment to court against the former head of the State Registration Department of the Central-Western Interregional Directorate of the Ministry of Justice (Khmelnytskyi).

The Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor’s Office is in charge of the criminal proceedings.
In accordance with Part 1 of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of a criminal offence and may not be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt has been proven in accordance with the law and established by a court conviction.
