They severed ties with the Russia: The NACP excluded the first company from the list of international sponsors of the war
For the first time since the creation of the list of international sponsors of war - a powerful reputational tool of pressure on companies that continue to work with the Russian Federation after a large-scale invasion - the first company was excluded from it. The company fulfilled all the necessary conditions, choosing the path of socially responsible business. The world's leading ship fuel supply company, the Irish Peninsula Petroleum Limited, was excluded from the list of international sponsors of the war. The company has sent a corresponding letter to NACP indicating the fulfilled conditions that allow it to be excluded from the list. Peninsula Petroleum Limited has stopped supplying bunker fuel not only to Russian-owned or Russian-flagged vessels, but also to those carrying Russian oil. The company took such steps as a sign of condemnation of Russian aggression. "The first exclusion from the list of international sponsors of war is the best proof that this tool really works. We want this list to decrease, not the other way around. But this is possible only if such companies choose the light side for the sake of the common values of democracy, integrity and peace, fulfill the necessary conditions and break ties with the Russian Federation. I am grateful to Peninsula Petroleum Limited for the demonstrated position and hope that this case will serve as an example for other companies that value their reputation and do not want to be associated with the bloody Putin regime",-  stressed the Head of the NACP Oleksandr Novikov. We are grateful to all representatives of civil society, journalists, experts, private businesses and politicians, who every day together with us bring to the world an important message: we cannot do business with a terrorist by financing a brutal and unprovoked war. This demonstrates unity around the common values of freedom, democracy and respect for human rights, for which Ukraine is fighting right now. The Agency is open to cooperation with international business and is ready to consult on the steps necessary for delisting. The role of the NACP in sanctions policy is defined in the Individual Sanctions Roadmap developed by the Stanford International Working Group on Russian Sanctions.
