Full Verifications: A deputy from Vinnytsia Region is suspected of inaccurately declaring worth over UAH 11 million

The Vinnytsia District Prosecutor's Office and the Vinnytsia District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Vinnytsia Region, based, in part, on the materials of a full verification conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), have notified a deputy of the Tyvriv Settlement Council of the Vinnytsia Region of suspicion. He is charged with intentional entry of inaccurate information into the declaration for 2022.

During the full verification, the NACP established that the deputy failed to declare:

  • a land plot located in Vinnytsia, which belongs to him;
  • an apartment in Vinnytsia, owned by him and his family members;
  • his own funds held in bank accounts totalling over UAH 6.2 million.

Additionally, the official provided inaccurate information regarding the amount of funds he had lent, totalling over UAH 4.5 million.

The total amount of inaccurate information in the declaration exceeds UAH 11 million.

The official is charged with the intentional entry of inaccurate information into a declaration (Part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Operational support in the criminal proceedings is provided by the Strategic Investigations Department in the Vinnytsia Region.

Disclaimer. According to Part 1 of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proved through legal procedure and established by a court's verdict of guilty.
