The Tiachiv District Prosecutor's Office, acting inter alia based on materials from a full verification of the asset declaration conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), has submitted an indictment to the court against a member of the Dubove Settlement Council for knowingly entering inaccurate information into his asset declaration amounting to over UAH 6 million.
Specifically, during a full verification of his 2024 annual declaration, the NACP established that the official concealed a land plot with an area of 1,250 square meters in the village of Krasna, Zakarpattia Region, as well as an unfinished construction object located on it — a two-story residential house with utility rooms where he resided with his family.
Furthermore, the official failed to disclose information regarding income received by himself and his wife amounting to over UAH 89.5 thousand.
In total, the amount of inaccurate information in the declaration established by the verification and investigative data exceeded UAH 6 million.
The actions of the council member have been qualified under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Tiachiv District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Zakarpattia Region, with operational support provided by the Strategic Investigations Department in the Zakarpattia Region.
Pursuant to Part 1 of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proved through legal procedures and established by a court verdict of guilty.
