Courts hold the Military Medical Commission (MMC) head and the local council deputy accountable for Inaccurate information in declarations

Courts held the chairman of a military medical commission (MMC) and a local council deputy accountable based on materials from verification checks regarding the completeness of declarations conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP).

Specifically, the Drohobych City-District Court of the Lviv Oblast found a deputy of the Medenytsia Village Council of the Drohobych Raion of the Lviv Oblast guilty of committing an administrative offence stipulated by Part 4 of Article. 172-6 of the Code of Administrative Offences of Ukraine (CAOU). Based on the results of the NACP's declaration completeness check, it was established that, in his 2024 annual declaration, he provided inaccurate information totalling over UAH 1.77 million. The court also imposed an administrative penalty on him in the form of a fine of UAH 17 thousand.

In addition, the Chernivtsi District Court of the city of Chernivtsi found the chairman of the MMC of the Regional Communal Non-Profit Enterprise "Chernivtsi Regional Clinical Hospital" guilty of committing an administrative offence stipulated by Part 4 of Article. 172-6 of the CAOU. The basis for the case review was materials compiled by employees of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Chernivtsi Oblast of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine, following the results of the declaration completeness check conducted by the NACP. The official entered inaccurate information into his 2024 declaration, amounting to UAH 812.2 thousand. The court imposed an administrative penalty on him in the form of a fine of UAH 17 thousand.

At the same time, based on the results of the completed declaration completeness checks, the NACP forwarded three substantiated conclusions to the National Police of Ukraine regarding the detection of signs of offences:

  • regarding a neurologist, member of the MMC of the Bucha Raion Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support and the expert team for functional assessment of daily living of the Communal Non-Profit Enterprise "Irpin Central City Hospital" of the Irpin City Council of the Kyiv Oblast — for entering inaccurate information into the annual declaration for 2024 amounting to over UAH 1.48 million, showing signs of an administrative offense stipulated by Part 4 of Art. 172-6 of the CAOU;
  • Regarding a deputy of the Rotmistrivka Village Council of the Cherkasy Raion of the Cherkasy Oblast — for entering inaccurate information into the annual declaration for 2024, amounting to over UAH 12.34 million, showing signs of a criminal offence stipulated by Part 2 of Article. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (CCU). The deputy failed to state 121 real estate properties in the declaration.
  • Regarding a deputy of the Korolevo Village Council of the Berehove Raion of the Zakarpattia Oblast — for entering inaccurate information into the annual declaration for 2024, amounting to nearly UAH 1.5 million, showing signs of an administrative offence stipulated by Part 4 of Article. 172-6 of the CAOU.

Furthermore, on May 1, 2026, the Kherson Oblast Prosecutor's Office forwarded to the court an indictment against a deputy of the Kherson Raion Council of the Kherson Oblast for entering inaccurate information into declarations for 2023 and 2024, amounting to over UAH 13 million, showing signs of a criminal offence stipulated by Part 2 of Article. 366-2 of the CCU. In particular, 79 real estate properties were not stated in the declarations.
