A court has found a member of the Nadlatska Village Council in the Holovanivsk District of the Kirovohrad Region guilty of declaring false information (Part 1, Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (CCU)). The decision was based on materials from a pre-trial investigation initiated following a compliance audit regarding the completeness of the declaration conducted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP).
During the audit, NACP authorised officials established that the MP entered false information into his 2024 declaration, concealing details regarding a number of land plots and real estate properties. The discrepancies between the declared and actual values amounted to almost 4.4 million UAH, thereby violating the requirements of Clause 2, Part 1, Article 46 of the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption".
The court sentenced the representative to 150 hours of community service and disqualified him from holding positions or engaging in activities related to the functions of local self-government for a period of one year.
Furthermore, based on the results of compliance audits regarding the completeness of declarations, the NACP has forwarded three substantiated findings to the National Police of Ukraine concerning:

An MP of the Myrhorod City Council in the Poltava Region - regarding the discovery of false information in his annual declarations for 2023 and 2024, amounting to over UAH 7 million in each (Parts 1 and 2, Article 366-2 of the CCU);

An MP of the Dashiv Settlement Council in the Haisyn District of the Vinnytsia Region - regarding the discovery of false information in his annual declaration for 2024, amounting to over UAH 2.3 million (Part 1, Article 366-2 of the CCU).
Caution: According to Part 1 of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven through legal procedure and established by a court's verdict of guilty.
